Metal Battery Enclosures and Energy Storage System Cabinets
We manufacture metal battery enclosures, cabinets and modular battery racks, technical containers and BMS housings for energy storage systems and inverters. MAR-INA PRODPREST SRL delivers custom metal fabrication solutions for industrial clients, integrators, distributors and OEM projects, with fast delivery across the EU, repeatable quality, traceability and complete documentation: drawings, revisions and assembly instructions.
These products are part of our portfolio of B2B metal fabrication for series production and long-term OEM partnerships, where we work according to technical drawings, 2D/3D files, controlled tolerances and clear specifications for small, medium and large production batches.
The energy transition requires faster delivery of battery enclosures and racks
The energy transition in Europe highlights not only renewable power generation, but also energy storage. Besides cells and power electronics, the success of energy storage projects depends on metal enclosures and battery racks that protect battery modules, BMS units and electrical equipment, ensuring mechanical strength, weather protection, electrical safety and proper thermal management.
This fast-growing niche gave us the opportunity to expand into the production of metal enclosures and racks for batteries. Initially, we responded to specific technical requests, and today we deliver customized solutions on a regular basis, with short lead times, according to EN/ISO requirements and with a more predictable total cost.
MAR-INA PRODPREST — experience, modern equipment and certifications
Without creating a separate new production line, we have naturally integrated the manufacturing of metal battery enclosures, cabinets and racks into our portfolio, relying on our experience in industrial boxes, cabinets and enclosures with stable tolerances, clean finishes and high repeatability.
Thanks to our experience in metal fabrication, metal furniture, technical cabinets and contract manufacturing, we can support series production for OEM clients and long-term B2B partnerships, including energy storage projects, photovoltaic equipment, C&I applications and industrial solutions delivered in Romania and across the European Union.
- TRUMPF technology — TruMatic 1000 fiber for laser cutting, punching and tapping, plus TruBend Center 7030 for automated bending, short series and fast design iterations.
- Laser welding & cleaning — LDW-1200-A, LDW-2000-W for clean joints on stainless steel, aluminium and steel, as well as preparation of contact areas.
- Electrostatic powder coating — correct surface preparation, controlled coating thickness and weather resistance.
- Processes & team — engineers, CNC operators and qualified welders; material traceability and end-to-end process control.
- Certifications — ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 14001 for environmental management and H&S practices in line with ISO 45001.
The result: battery enclosures and racks that combine ventilation/airflow with IP protection and electrical safety, thermal management, service access and compatibility with BMS and inverter systems.

Typical applications
1) Enclosures and racks for solar batteries — residential, C&I and utility-scale projects
- Configurations: single/dual-bay cabinet, modular rack for multiple battery packs, drawer-type racks for LiFePO4 or NMC modules.
- Materials: galvanized/pickled steel + powder coating; optional stainless steel 304/316.
- Protection: IP55–IP66, IK10, grounding/PE rails.
- Thermal management: louvered grilles + filters, thermostat-controlled fans, HVAC preparation.
- Service access: 120–180° doors, concealed hinges, key/triangle locks, slides for battery module extraction.
- Cabling: M16–M40 cable glands, gland plates, DIN rails, mounting plates.
- Safety: temperature/smoke sensors, internal spraying options, markings.
2) Technical containers / outdoor cabinets
- Equipment: inverter, switchgear, DC/AC protection, telecom and monitoring systems.
- Architecture: standalone on base frame or lightweight frame-mounted containers; floor cable channels, integration of internal battery racks.
- Resistance: IP55+, double roof, powder coating with chemical pretreatment; optional anodizing/stainless steel.
- Organization: mounting plates, 19” rack, separate DC/AC cable routes, PE bars.
- Cooling: filtered fans, chimneys, HVAC units sized according to heat losses.
- Logistics: lifting points, forklift pockets, anchoring; multipoint locking systems.
3) BMS housing — enclosures for battery management systems
- Functionality: protection for PCB, sensors and relays; LV/HV separation.
- EMI/EMC: efficient grounding and shielding contacts.
- Layout: DIN rails, spacers, quick connectors, diagnostic access.
- Protection: IP54–IP55, depending on ventilation, continuous gaskets; optional polycarbonate window.
- Traceability: ID plates, QR codes, circuit colour coding.
Note: for sites with multiple batteries, we recommend modular racks + technical container for power and control equipment; separate BMS housing for fast service access.
