This used-clothing collection and recycling container is made from galvanised steel sheet with a powder-coated finish to the RAL colour chart.
The container can be equipped with a fill-level monitoring system that provides real-time tracking of collected clothing volumes. Data is transmitted to the customer’s computer, where dedicated software centralises and visualises it. The system is fully autonomous, powered by a battery and a solar panel, so no mains power supply is required. The cost of this system is 1.430 RON and is added to the container price.

Used clothing recycling container — Dimensions
|
The container is made from galvanised steel sheet, thickness 0.8 mm, for enhanced corrosion and weather resistance. Joints are made by shielded welding, ensuring a solid, reliable structure. The door-side flanges are 60 mm wide for added security and to prevent deformation over time.
The feet include base plates and are made from rectangular tube 40 x 20 mm and 40 x 40 mm, providing stability and facilitating placement on different surfaces.
|
A distinctive feature is the internal anti‑theft closure system. While the outer door opens to allow clothing to be deposited, a secondary inner door automatically closes, preventing unauthorised access to the container’s contents. When the outer door closes, the inner door opens, allowing items to drop inside. This mechanism helps prevent theft and vandalism, maintaining the integrity of the collected textiles. |
The container is electrostatically powder‑coated in colours from the RAL chart, allowing aesthetic customisation to suit client preferences or the installation area. The powder‑coat process delivers a uniform, scratch‑ and fade‑resistant finish for long‑lasting appearance.
According to the European Union’s official site, in a 2023 release, “Circular economy for textiles: taking responsibility for reducing, reusing and recycling textile waste & boosting markets for used textiles” the Commission proposes that Member States implement the requirement for separate collection of textiles starting in 2025. Romania will align its national legislation with the EU directives on textile waste management. These measures aim to reduce environmental impact and promote a circular economy.
