The Type C fire hose, together with the discharge nozzle (branchpipe) and hydrant valve with a fixed C‑type Storz coupling, forms a complete set supplied with hydrant cabinets and fire points, and is essential firefighting equipment.
Components:
DN52 discharge hose is a rubber‑lined, textile layflat hose whose section becomes circular only under internal pressure; when unpressurised it can be folded and stored flat. It is intended for water delivery for firefighting.
Technical characteristics:
Fixed coupling type C is part of the water‑delivery accessories and is installed indoors on the fire water distribution network. Manufactured to STAS 701‑74.
Constructionally, it consists of a body, a gasket carrier, and a sealing gasket, to which the discharge hose can be connected in the event of a fire. The gasket carrier is swaged onto the coupling body so the parts form a single assembly. The nominal bore for the C‑type fixed coupling is 2 inches.
The minimum pressure resistance is 12 bar.
Hydrant valve for indoor hydrants is part of the water‑delivery accessories and is installed on the internal fire water distribution network. Manufactured to STAS 2501‑83.
It comprises a valve with handwheel and a fixed threaded C outlet, to which the discharge hose connects during firefighting operations.
The minimum pressure resistance is 12 bar.
The internal diameter of the pipe on which the hydrant valve is mounted is 2 inches. Hydrant valves are supplied fully equipped with the fixed coupling fitted.
Branch pipe/nozzle DN 52, 12 mm orifice, for solid jet and spray, Q = 2.5 l/s, with shut‑off valve.
