Fire door - Uniform - 60-minute certification

The UNIFORM series is our standard range of fire-rated steel doors, engineered to deliver enhanced fire protection and safe operation. These single-leaf doors are offered in standardized sizes, available left- or right-hand opening, with no pre-installation adjustments required. UNIFORM doors are certified for three different installation methods, depending on project needs:

• Installation with fixing brackets
• Installation with expanding (anchor) screws
• Installation on a pre-frame (sub-frame, pre-installed)

Fire resistance 60 minutes, EI2 60. Doors are supplied fully assembled with protective film, and factory-prepared for panic bars and a door closer. On request, they can be supplied with additional accessories: cylinder, perimeter seal, stainless-steel protection plates, electromagnets or control unit.

Certification and compliance

UNIFORM doors are designed to meet the latest European requirements and are aesthetically compatible with the ENDOOR model for mixed use on sites where both standard sizes and made-to-order doors are needed. The UNIFORM model comes with detailed technical documentation and is certified to the European standard EN 1634-1, ready for CE marking as required by current regulations. The door has undergone rigorous testing for fire resistance, mechanical durability and structural stability in accordance with European safety standards.

Key technical features

• Leaf: two skins of galvanised steel (0.8 mm thick), with a high-density mineral wool core and special fire-resistant composite; total leaf thickness: 60 mm; full 4-sided rebate/overlap.
• Frame: 4-sided galvanised steel (1.5 mm thick), with brackets for mortar fixing, holes for Wurth-type anchor bolts, or mounting on a sub-frame; installation with or without threshold; the threshold can be reduced or omitted.
• Lockcase: reversible, prepared for a Euro-profile cylinder. Cylinder not included; it can be selected separately to match the required security level.
• Black lever handle with steel core (steel reinforcement is mandatory on fire-rated doors), supplied with ebonite backplates, a construction key (a temporary key used during installation and site works until the final cylinder is fitted; it has a plastic insert that protects the cylinder hole and allows provisional access without compromising the final mechanism), and a plastic plug for the cylinder hole. The kit includes a spindle (9×9 mm square), telescopic screws, spacers, pin and Allen key for adjustment.
• Hinges:
  • 1 spring hinge for self-closing with adjustable tension
  • 1 heavy-duty hinge with two bearings, height-adjustable via a special washer
• Reinforcement plates: inside the leaf for later installation of panic hardware or an overhead door closer.
• Intumescent strip: 28 mm wide, fitted to the frame on all 4 sides; may require perforation for certain installation types.
• Identification: metal plate on the leaf edge with ID and certification data.
• Finish: standard paint RAL 7035, semi-gloss, two-coat resin-based system. Other RAL or NCS shades available on request, excluding certain metallic and luminous colours.
• Sizes: standardized only (not produced to bespoke non-standard dimensions).
• Approx. weight: EI2 60: 35 kg/m².
• Delivery: on wooden pallets, with external label and the installation/maintenance manual under plastic wrap; certificate of conformity included.

Finishes and maintenance

Available finishes

• Standard paint: semi-gloss, RAL 7035 light grey (        ), RAL 9010 pure white, RAL 7016 anthracite grey (        ).
• All RAL/NCS shades available on request, except certain metallic and luminous colours (see exclusions below)

Not available:

• Metallic: 1035, 1036, 2013, 3032, 3033, 4011, 4012, 5025, 5026, 6035, 6036, 7048, 8029, 9006, 9007, 9022, 9023
• Luminous (fluorescent): 1026, 2005, 2007, 3024, 3026

Paint weathering resistance

The coating offers good resistance to water and environmental agents, but colour fade may occur over time depending on sun exposure, humidity, salinity and colour choice. As a guideline, visible fading can occur after around two years in fully exposed areas. Additional protection (e.g., canopies) is recommended for outdoor installations.

Doors fitted with fire-rated glazing are not recommended for exterior installation where they are exposed to the elements.

Cleaning and maintenance

• Clean surfaces using neutral, non-abrasive detergents with soft cloths or smooth sponges. Avoid strong solvents (acetone, ethyl alcohol, nitro thinners).
• Check detergent compatibility first on a concealed area with a white cloth.
• Never wet the edges of the glass—clean only the surface.

Touch-ups and repainting

• Minor touch-ups can be done with synthetic lacquers, water-based paints or acrylic spray, preferably applied with a small brush. Polishing helps blend the finish.
• For full repainting: abrade the existing coating, degrease, then apply the desired paint by spray or brush using epoxy, polyurethane or synthetic enamel.

Glazing and ventilation

On request, doors can be supplied with fire-rated vision panels or ventilation grilles (ventilation only for the multi-purpose range). Adding a window makes the door non-reversible; the handing must be specified at order. Sizes and positioning are defined per datasheet and project requirements.

• Fire-rated glazing:
  • EI2 60 glass: 22–24 mm thick, 60 kg/m²

  Not recommended for exterior use. Glazing complies with the manufacturer’s accepted limits for transparency and micro-defects.

• Multi-purpose glazing:
  • Clear float glass: 5 mm thick, 12 kg/m²
  • Laminated glass 3+3: 6–7 mm, 16 kg/m²
  • Wired glass (square/cellular): 6.5 mm, 16 kg/m²
  • Polished wired glass: 6.5 mm, 16 kg/m²
  • Insulated unit 4/12/4: 20 mm, 20 kg/m²
• Ventilation grilles:
  • Metal grille, painted to match the door
  • Metal grille with insect mesh
  • Black plastic grille (482×97 mm, free area 250 cm²)

Additional information and installation conditions

• The UNIFORM door is supplied assembled and reversible for left/right opening; however, when a window is fitted, handing must be specified.
• Supplied with installation manual, certificate of conformity and identification label.
• For doors with glazing over 25 kg, we recommend fitting a door closer.

SLASH PANIC BAR

Surcharge for Slash bars instead of standard MS handles (or MS2A on double-leaf doors), with prep included. For BM, BSP, BS models, conversion to emergency handle and half-cylinder is included. Doors ordered with a Slash bar are supplied with a fixing plate included; no cover cap for standard cut-outs.

Sold separately: Kit comprising base, aluminium bar, threaded spindle and handle for the opposite side; half-cylinder for BM, BSP, BS models without lock and without fixing plate and decorative cover.
